Weston Technology Solutions began in 1994 serving the needs of small businesses in Anchorage, Alaska. The company was founded on the cornerstones of honesty, integrity and doing what is right for both the customer and our employees. We opened our second Pacific Northwest location in 2002 in the city of Bend, Oregon with plans to open new offices on a regular basis in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past 13 years we have planned, implemented and supported technology solutions for clients that allow them to leverage their technology to save money and improve performance. We believe technology can be used to help a customer succeed and operate as a trusted advisor and partner in the development of our customer’s businesses.

Brock McFarlane
Brock is founding owner and President of Weston Technology Solutions. Since starting the company in 1994, he has focused on Weston partnering with its clients to solve their technology frustrations. As the company has grown, he has transitioned from a purely technical role to developing the strategic and sales aspects of Weston.
When he is not focusing on Weston, Brock enjoys camping with his family. He has a beautiful wife and four great kids that keep him challenged and rewarded. In 2002, the McFarlane family moved from Anchorage to Bend to be closer to family and to start the first branch office. They all enjoy being close to the grandparents and the great quality of life that Bend offers.
Brock graduated from Oregon State University with a major in Business – Management Information Systems. He is an active member of his church and is developing ways to allow his business endeavors to be used to help provide hope for others, especially orphanages.

Greg Freeman
Greg is a co-owner of Weston and joined the company a few years after its inception. He’s held several positions inside the company, stepping in wherever needed. He joined Weston because of the ideals the company set forth and to help foster a company that supports others in their advancement, whether a colleague or client.
He graduated with honors from the University of New Mexico and holds a Bachelor degree in Economics.

Harald Smit
In his youth Harald had the advantage of living a privileged life with his family, traveling from one country to the next. Along the way, he picked up 5 languages and a love for diversity.
Harald fell into the IT world by accident; he had always tinkered with computers from a very young age and was afforded the chance at a career in the field after leaving college. He moved to Alaska for a few years and then decided to move to Bend upon the urging of a good friend. In his work Harald above all appreciates the relationships he has developed with co-workers and clients alike.
Harald enjoys the beauty of Central Oregon and the lifestyle it has afforded him. When not working he enjoys hiking, catching a movie, enjoying “Munch and Music” and all the other activities Bend offers. Above everything, he loves spending time with his two beautiful daughters.

Kevin Mark
Kevin began his IT career in 1995 working as a Laptop Support Technician in Portland. Looking to further his career he attended University of Phoenix in Hillsboro achieving his Microsoft certifications. He went to work for a local video chain providing Tech Support for all their stores nationwide. Continuing to use his skills in IT he eventually went to work in the copier/graphics industry where he worked for several years.
After getting married and having his first child (a baby girl), Kevin decided to move away from the hectic lifestyle of Portland bringing him to Bend. Continuing to work in the copier/graphics industry he eventually came aboard with Weston in 2005.
When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, taking the kids to the park, and going to the beach. In 2006 he was blessed with his second child (a baby boy). Recently he was able to take his family on vacation to Florida and swim with dolphins (one of his lifetime dreams).

Deb Brace
Originally from Portland, Deb’s excellent organizational skills and attention to detail has become a real asset to Weston. Most of Deb’s experience comes from serving 16 years in the Air Force, where attention to detail is a must. The Air Force enabled her to travel the country and live in at least 8 cities from Biloxi MS to Knob Noster MO to Williamsburg VA. Deb moved back to Oregon in 2005 to be closer to her family.
When she’s not at work, Deb enjoys sewing, camping and gardening.

Rebecca Clover
Becky brings more than 25 years of accounting experience to Weston, with the last 8 years in the Technology environment. Her bookkeeping and organizational skills keep Weston’s financial information on track.
Becky was drawn to the Central Oregon area in the mid 90’s working for a mailing service. Within a few months she went to work for a local greeting card company as their bookkeeper, where she helped develop automated systems for customizing Christmas card orders. Then the opportunity appeared for her to work for Microwing, thus becoming part of the Weston family.
Outside of Weston she enjoys spending time with her family & friends (especially watching her grandson play baseball), riding ATVs, and sharing her life with her husband.

Eric Spinney
As the most senior consultant in the Bend office, Eric has seen a lot of changes within Weston. He’s seen the Bend office grow from just two employees to 7 employees. He’s proud of the fact that Weston is still a small company, where the employees all know each other and our clients well.
While at work, Eric enjoys designing and managing networking projects as well as supporting our client’s everyday needs. One of his favorite things about his job is change; not only does he enjoy learning new technologies every day, but he has the opportunity to go out and meet new and interesting people as well.
Outside of work Eric enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, trips to the coast, and just trying to keep up with his two young boys.
Eric has been a resident of Alaska since 1978. He grew up on the Kenai Peninsula and moved to Anchorage in 1992 after earning his Bachelors degree at Arizona State University. In 2000 he entered the Information Technology industry and has been working as a systems analyst and technology consultant ever since. Eric became a Microsoft Certified Professional in 2005 and joined the Weston team in 2006.

Vishnu Benkert
Vishnu started “playing” with computers in the early 1980’s, which involved building his own computers and running a modem dial-up bulletin-board system. His first network experience involved stringing a network cable out his bedroom window and over to a childhood friend’s house, so that they could join forces. He landed a support position after high school and has worked professionally in various computer-related fields since. After almost 15 years in computer/network support and system administration, he turned to working as a consultant because he enjoys the diverse technical challenges and also the personal interaction with various clients.
Beyond computers, Vishnu lives off-grid with his wife and three dogs, where they have learned to survive without public utilities and benefit from the plentiful Central Oregon sun. They enjoy spending time reading, growing their own vegetables, rock-hounding, and exploring the recreational aspects of Central Oregon.

Steve Maier
Steve feels fortunate to be able to work in such a great environment. “Every day I am challenged, get to learn something new and get to have fun working with a variety of clientele. I am really glad to have joined such a sharp group of professionals at Weston.”
Prior to the joining the Weston team, Steve held a variety of positions ranging from running an entire IT department for a small business to working in a large corporate IT environment. Throughout his IT career, he has constantly worked hard to make sure that his skills are up to date and relevant to the task at hand. Steve holds several Microsoft certifications and earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Portland State University.
Outside of work Steve enjoys many of the popular outdoor activities that the Northwest has to offer. Disc Golf, Fly Fishing, Hiking, Biking and Kayaking are among his favorites activities.
